WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO VOLUNTEER?
Our volunteer program is still a work in progress. However, we anticipate that we will allow teen volunteers starting at the age of 14. As our program is international (based in Tupigachi, Ecuador), we are working on a plan to create a 2-week experience to bring teen volunteers to Ecuador and stay at the local ranch Hacienda Hosteria San Luis (hotel link: https://sanluisecuador.com). As volunteers would be staying in a hotel there is limited space and a payment would be involved. If you are interested in our volunteer program please email teens4tupigachi@gmail.com for more information and if there are spots available.
IS YOUR ORGANIZATION TRANSPARENT?
That is one of our goals! We try to keep people updated through our website and give updates on a projects through our social media (@teens4tupigachi) and our blog tab on the site.
HOW MUCH OF MY DONATION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS THE CAUSE?
Most of it. A small percentage is taken from the donations to pay for the domain name and to maintain the website. The rest of the money that is donated through the go fund me is transferred to an account that is then donated in full to the school and used for infrastructure and other needs. Here at Teens for Tupigachi, we update our donors through our blog page to show exactly where your money is going and the progress of our projects.
